Interview Assessment Trainer

Capt (IN) Satish Yadav, is a Alumni of Indian Naval Academy. He was topper & was awarded “President Silver Medal ” for academic excellence. Upon earning ‘Presidents Commission’ in 1985 he went on to serve all kinds of ships viz from ‘Missile boat’ to ‘Aircraft Carrier’ INS Viraat besides many Naval establishments.

He is a ” Missile and Gunnery ” specialist & had proved his mastery, when he shot Aerial target “Chukar ” that too twice, which was never done before even by much advanced ships. As a Gunnery Officer, he again proved his mettle when he destroyed surface target “Sea Star” while exercising with foreign navies and came for much appreciation by all. His exploits resulted in earning “Best Gunnery Trophy ” ” 2nd best SAM Trophy ” and over all “Best Ship Trophy ” . It was unprecedented in the history of INS Ganga a ‘G’ class ship beating much advanced ‘R’ class Russian built Destroyers.

The officer also Commanded prestigious ‘Missile Corvette ‘ Veer class Ship & was instrumental in the blockade of ‘Karachi harbour ‘ during “Kargil war”. The officer has also participated in ‘Op Pawan ‘ in Sri Lanka in 1987

The officer is Alumni of Prestigious “Defence Services Staff College ” Wellington. Thereafter he served in NHQ for close to 5 years. Here, he was awarded “CNS Commendation ” for his professional competence. He has also Commanded a strategically located Naval base in A & N island & provided yeoman service to eight islands post disastrous Tsunami of Dec 2004. Here too he earned “CINCAN Commendation ” for his professional competence

Upon becoming Med Cat, he did ‘Interviewing Officer’ course’ from Defence Institute of Psychological Research, New Delhi. Thereafter he went on to serve three (03) NSB/ SSBs. Another feather in his cap came when he was appointed as “Chief Instructor ” at DIPR New Delhi. Where he trained above 300 Interviewing Officers of the rank of Col to Maj Gen and equivalent in other two services, Coast Guard and foreign armies too. He was also intimately involved in the training of TO/ Psychologists & GTOs at DIPR. He has been ‘visiting faculty’ to ‘Institute of Technological Management ‘ at Landour Cantt, Mussoorie. Where he taught various topics related to ‘soft skills’.

He retired after rendering 35 years of commissioned service to the nation. During this he earned three Masters Degrees & also MPhil in ‘Organizational Psychology’.

Captain (IN) Satish Yadav has keen interest in Psychological aspects of human behavior, the knowledge of which he has accumulated through keen observation. It helps him in translating that knowledge in proper assessment of a candidate & guide them to bring about necessary changes in their behavior, thus improving their personality, helping them in increasing their chances manifold in any field, be it civil or Defence.
