CDS 2 selection procedure is as follows:

In order to join in as an Officer in Army, Navy and Air force the candidate has to go through 3 stages, which is often critical and challenging at the same time. As of for 2019 the selection process follows as off.

  • Written examination
  • SSB interview
  • Medical Examination
  • Merit list

CDS 2 Exam Pattern:

(a) In order to get admission in Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy-

CDS 2, 2019 Medical Exam:

There is a 1- or 2-days procedure for fulfilling normal formalities at SSB centre which has to be done by those who clear Medical Examination as well. The aspirants have to be physically and mentally fit.

CDS 2 2019 Final Merit List:

The final merit list is released by the board on the basis of performance and medical examinations they have gone through.

To be a fierce defender, you’ll have to go through strict training. So that new joiners can be ready to serve in any terrain, weather, and austere conditions. Unfit trainees can lead to project failure of the whole team; therefore, the selection of fit aspirants is a crucial part. One has to be fit enough to bear the pain through sweat and blood. You have to be ready for all situations and have to face each and everything that bi-pass cause after all the trainees are to be served in extreme conditions. Here, extreme means absolute, it means you’re ready to face extreme weather conditions, able to execute all the plans correctly and actively. Once your training part is over, you’re prepared to be the officer-in-charge.


Cadets are authorized usually with fixed allowances of RS.21,000/- per month, subdivision of which is Rs.15,600/- to be paid as a salary and rest Rs.5600/- to be counted as a grade pay for the training period. And once the training is completed, stipend admitted will be converted as salary for all purposes. But the training period is not to be considered or treated as a commissioned service.

How to apply for CDS 2 2019 Examination: Procedure being

  • First visit website, which is the official UPSC website.
  • Then click on the link displayed under what’s a new section which says “Combined Defence Services Examination (II), of 2019.
  • Entering the Registration ID and Date of Birth follows through.
  • Enter personal details which are must verify that candidate is eligible for the same or not along with details of any Photo ID Proof – Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government
  • Do upload a scanned copy of same Photo ID.
  • Upload your photograph and signature properly and clearly.
  • Select your preferred examination centre.
  • Fill the payment details and accept the declaration.
  • Final submission
  • Download a copy of your application form for future use.
  • Do collect your required documents beforehand.
