Section 29 of the POCSO Act can be applicable only after trials
The Delhi high court announced that section 29, including the presumption of guilt from the protection of children from sexual offences act, will be applicable after its trial begins. Section 29 of the POCSO Act defines the guilty of accused when a person is prosecuted for an offence of sexual assault against a minor. When the charges are framed after the confession of the accused to be guilty of, the trial begins.
Age-appropriate fitness tests for all SAI coaches twice a year
The sports Authority of India( SAI) asked its all coaches to take age-appropriate fitness tests based on the protocol launched by PM Narendra Modi building the fit India dialogue. The tests will include BMI, balance test-flamingo balance and Vrikshasana, flexibility test cardiovascular fitness test, muscular strength test, and muscular endurance test. Committee of experts drafted the fitness tests.
MoU between ISLRTC and NCERT for converting education material into Indian sign language
On October 6, 2020, historic Memorandum of understanding is going to be signed virtually between NCERT and Indian sign language Research and training centre (ISLRTC) to convert education materials into Indian sign language for deaf children in digital format. It also aligns

DBT-THSTI as the global Bioassay laboratory for covid-19 vaccine assessment
Translational Health Science and Technology Institute has been recognised by CEPI as global bioassay laboratory foreign placement of covid-19 vaccines. The network will be of 6 labs, one each in Italy, Canada, Britain, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and India following the common set of protocols. More than thirty vaccines are under the development process in which three are in human trials and almost 4 in advanced stages of preclinical.

New emission norms for tractors, from October next year and for construction equipment vehicles from April 2021 to be applicable
The ministry of road transport and highways announced the applicable date for the implementation of emission norms for tractors till 1st October next year. And for the construction equipment vehicles, the applicability of the next phase would be on 1sr April 2021. The amendments for emission norms for agriculture ministry and construction equipment vehicles are separate.
The draft offers amended rules were published on 5th August 2020.
Onboarding 250 vendors under Atmanirbhar Nidhi
Under PM SVANidhi, Ministry of housing and urban affairs has connected with an MoU with the Swiggy in the video conferencing, to onboard 250 street food vendors on the eCommerce platform. Twenty lakh loan applications have been received and over simple 5 lakh loans have been sanctioned. The vendors will be across five cities, namely- Varanasi, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Indore, and Chennai. The scheme is to provide affordable working capital loans targeting over 50 lakh street vendors. The loan will be upto rupees 10000 to repay in monthly instalments and the early repayment would offer the crediting interest subsidy @ 7 per annum to the beneficiaries.
