Asia Pacific Personalized Health Index


The Economist Intelligence Unit has declared a newly launched index named ‘Asia Pacific Personalized Health Index.’ The index ranked 11 countries situated geographically in the Asia-Pacific Region. It measures the health readiness of the regional countries – Australia, Japan, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, and China. The index enables countries to adopt personalized healthcare, the right care, etc., at the right time.

The Personalized Health Index measures 27 indicators, which are categorized into four ‘Vital Signs’ – Policy Context, Health Information, Personalized technologies, and Health Services.

India’s Rank

In total, India ranked 10th among the 11 countries, only before Indonesia. Ranks and Scores of India in Individual ‘Vital Signs’ are as follows:

  1. Health Information – 10th Rank: 41 Score
  2. Health Services – 11th Rank: 24 Score
  3. Personalized Technologies – 9th Rank: 30 Score
  4. Policy Context – 5th Rank: Score 48

ICC announced the introduction of the ICC Player of the month Award


Dubai Headquartered, the International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced a new monthly award for International Male and Female Cricketers. The awards will recognize and celebrate the best performers of the month from both male and female categories. The analysis will consider all forms of cricket to choose winners.

Fan of the game will be invited to vote virtually every month to select the best performers (both male and female) of the month.

Based on on-field performances of the month, the ICC Awards Nominations Committee will nominate three players from both the gender-based categories. Voting on the name of the selected few will be organized. The ICC Voting Academy and the fans of the game will vote to find the winners. ICC Voting Academy will comprise veteran cricketers, senior journalists, broadcaster, etc.


Martyr’s Day 2021


30th January, marks the death anniversary of the Father of the nation.  The day is observed as Martyr’s Day in India.  On 30 Jan 2021, India observed the 73rd Martyr’s day. The day is not only observed to commemorate Gandhiji but also to remember the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to make this soil independent.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, fondly known as Mahatma Gandhi, was shot dead by Nathram Godse on 30 Jan 1948. He shot three times in the chest and killed him. Nathuram alleged that Bapu is responsible for the partition; he was arrested and later hanged to death.

Uttar Pradesh to set up India’s first leather Park in Kanpur


UP Govt will construct the first leather park of the country in the Kanpur district.  The leather park will provide employment to 50 thousand to 1 lakh 50 thousand people, directly or indirectly.

According to the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Dr. Navneet Sehgal, the project will attract an investment of approximately Rs. 6000 crores. The project is expected to be set up in a 268-acre area at Kanpur District’s outskirts in Ramaipur Village. The Secretary ensured that the leather park would not affect or pollute the sacred River Ganga due to its activities. It will have a separate treatment plant of 20 million liters per day capacity.

World-Class Items will be produced here, like shoes, jackets, bags, etc. Refreshment and lodging facilities will be arranged for the investors coming from different parts of the world, following the theme ‘Atithi Devo Bhava.’

More than 150 tanneries are expected to reside here to facilitate the production as well as an exhibition of leather products.

Uttar Pradesh Tableau adjudged as the best in RDP 2021


Uttar Pradesh’s tableau has been recognized as the best at this year’s Republic Day Parade. The state was awarded by the Sports Minister Kiren Rijeju (also the substitute AYUSH Minister).

  • Total Numbers – A total of 32 tableaus were represented during the parade, 17 from the state and the union territories and nine from union Ministries, and six from the Defence Ministry alone.

  1. The theme of Uttar Pradesh Tableau was Ayodhya: Cultural Heritage of Uttar Pradesh.
  2. The tableau of the North-Eastern State Tripura is adjudged as the second best.
  3. The theme of Uttarakhand’s Tableau was ‘Dev Bhoomi – The lands of the Gods’. The tableau of Uttarakhand State was considered the third-best.
  4. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has bagged a special prize for its efforts to pay tribute to the armed forces’ fallen heroes. The theme of CPWD’s tableau was ‘Amar Jawan.’
  5. The Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs presented the award for best cultural performance to Mount Abu Public School and Vidya Bharti School Rohini, Delhi.
