AIM launches I-ACE with Australia’s CSIRO
Atal Innovation Mission jointly with Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation is organising ‘India-Australia circular economy hackathon’. It is a 2-day hackathon on the circular economy on 7 and 8 December.
The hackathon will focus on Innovation Technology solutions with the participation of intelligent students, MSMEs, and start-ups of both nations. The winners will be awarded prizes. The last date to apply is 6 November 2020.
The key themes are Innovation in food supply chains avoiding waste, Innovation in packaging reducing packaging waste, creating opportunities for plastic waste reduction, and recycling critical energy metals and e-waste.
Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural address at 4th Indian Energy Forum
At 4th Indian energy forum CERAWeek, PM Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural address, on the theme of “India’s energy future in a world of change”, through video conference. He said India is nearly going to double its energy consumption over the long term. Also, he said the energy plans are targeted to ensure energy justice for sustainable growth. India’s energy sector will be industry-friendly, growth-centric, and environmentally conscious.
Also, India will keep focusing on climate change. And Modi asks industry for the development of a flexible market for oil and gas. He also listed 7 main drivers for India’s energy map.
Rajnath Singh dedicated BRO road to the nation in East Sikkim
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh dedicated the BRO road 9185-kilometre Alternate Alignment of national highway 310 to km 19.350 to the nation. He inaugurated the new road in Nathu La sector and Sikkim via video conferencing from the 33 Corps headquarter in Sukhna. BRO fulfilled its commitment of delivering quality infrastructure in optimal costs and scheduled time-for which Rajnath complemented. The road serves as the link for bolstering defence preparedness and social-economic development.
