India and Uzbekistan have been engaging under various arrangements such as India-Central Asia Dialogue. During the meeting, India confirmed its support of 448 million USD line of Credit to be protracted to four expansion projects of Uzbekistan in the field of sewage treatment, road structure, Data Technology.

India greeted Uzbek proposal to hold a trilateral discussion among India, Iran and Uzbekistan to encourage the connectivity through Chabahar port. India also invited Uzbekistan to join the North-South Transport Corridor. This will offer India an overall enhancement of connectivity in the Eurasian region.

India expressed gratitude Uzbekistan for its backing to Indian candidature for the United Nations Security Council. Also, India applauded Uzbekistan for its successful appointment to the United Nations Human Rights Council (2021-23).
