MHA had warned regarding blasts in the Indian city

After the recovery of a large number of explosives from an ISIS operative, it has come to light that the Ministry of Home Affairs had warned the states of terror modules, two days before the Independence Day, backed by Pakistan intelligence, to trigger blasts in one of the cities in India. Police sources further reveal that members of some banned outfits had planned to cause IED blasts in Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal and some other places in the North-East along the Indo-Myanmar and Indo-Bangladesh border.

 

Chinese apps are pushed further with indigenous apps

With the slogan “Go Vocal for Local”, Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020, a national digital product building competition, has taken a massive step towards making India self-reliant through mobile applications that are indigenously made. Catering to the demands of 400 million smartphone users, apps like Memechat, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered app CaptionPlus, are winners in their own domains. The wide range of services also include providing alerts for floods, digital solution to combat bribery, AI recognized facial expressions and jestures, among others.


 


 

India to sign the third military pact with U.S. soon

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale and Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, over a virtual session discuss bilateral cooperation, and also providing security in the Indo-Pacific region; even ongoing international threats and the impacts of the coronavirus were also addressed.

India has already signed two pacts – Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA), which allows Indian and US defence forces to use each other’s facilities and establish procedures of easier access to supplies and services required by them; and Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) allows the US to transfer communication equipment to India which facilitates secure transmission of data and real-time information between the armed forces of the two countries. The third due pact to be signed is Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement for Geo-spatial Cooperation (BECA) that will allow India to use US expertise on geospatial intelligence and enhance military accuracy of automated hardware systems and weapons like cruise, ballistic missiles and drones.

 

Pakistan denies Dawood’s living there

Pakistan denied that two Special Regulatory Orders (SROs) issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), that included Dawood Ibrahim and other designated terrorists believed to be in Pakistan, resulted to a misconception that Dawood Ibrahim lives there. The listings included three residential address and five Pakistani passports of the former underworld don, which were mentioned for the first time, even though mention has been made in the SROs since 2015. Pakistan points to the Indian media for the misleading information.

 

 

China bent on its strategy to push the LAC westwards in Ladakh

China has been engaging in diplomatic and military talks about the LAC, yet shows no change in the region. Instead, it has exponentially building roads, bridges, helipads and other military infrastructure along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). With the non-negotiable LAC, the situation seems to be in a deadlock.
