The Boost of Air power in the Western Front

The induction of most sophisticated and advanced flying machines, Rafale air jets have been done at Air Force Station, Ambala, further making the western front stronger in the last 18 months. In March 2019, the IAF had inducted the advanced heavy-lift Chinook helicopters into the 126 Helicopter Flight squadron at 12-Wing air force station Chandigarh. Later, the IAF had inducted the Apache helicopters as part of 125-Helicopter squadron, which is popularly called ‘Gladiators’ of IAF, at Pathankot airbase last September.

 

No de-escalation until disengagement: S Jaishankar

The Foreign Minister, S Jaishankar has loud and clear stated that, India is not going to de-escalate until there is complete disengagement from all points on the LAC. Thursday night, in talks with Wang Yi, Jaishankar has very gently laid down the important points by saying that, if no peace on the border has been reinstated soon, India-China relationship would suffer. He categorically mentioned that, the current standoff is due to the breach of the existing agreements by the Chinese forces.


 


 

Presence of India in Afghanistan-Taliban talks

Qatar’s Doha on Saturday will witness the talks that have been scheduled to happen between the Afghanistan Government and the Taliban. In this talk, India along with 30 other nations, will be present. It is said that, all the bordering nations of Afghanistan have been invited.

 

India is set to witness the biggest Plane Carnival

Aero India-21 had its official website go live from today which called for space-booking. This biennial plane carnival has been launched by the Rakhsha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh. The show has been scheduled to be held at the Airforce Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka from 3rd February to 7th February, 2021. The first 3 days of this carnival have been reserved for the business and the last 2 days for the general public. Amidst the current social distancing regulations, the MoD has categorically stated that there would be a number of restrictions for the carnival this time. Exhibitors can now book the space by making the payments online with an early bird discount awaiting those registering by October 31.

 

Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat before a Parliamentary Panel

Amidst this prolonged LAC standoff between India and China, Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat has appeared before a parliamentary panel of Defence, on Friday. The agenda for the discussion is said to be ‘provision and monitoring of the quality of ration and livery items to the Defence forces, especially in border areas’.
