Meanwhile, discussions on various sectors along with the defence cooperation between two countries will be taken place, in which talks related to six diesel submarines under the P75I project for Indian Navy, Additional Rafale for Indian Airforce, Chinese aggression, etc. is expected. Before this, Indian officials have raised concerns regarding access to crucial technologies to enemy countries. Thus, France has decided not to upgrade the operational fleet of Mirage 3 & Mirage 5 fighter aircraft of Pakistan Airforce. This was the primary reason behind the exclusion of both the aircraft during the aerial exercise between Pakistan & China. The upgradation of Pakistani Navy operated Air Defence Systems and Agosta 90B submarines were also delayed by the French officials due to Indian pressure. France has ensured that no Pakistani national should reach near to the Rafale aircraft delivered to the Qatar Airforce.

India and France have concluded a deal of 36 rafale jets of which delivery of several aircraft have been already done by the Dassault Aviation, the manufacturer of the aircraft, and the remaining are expected to land on Indian soil at the end of this year.
