India’s protest with Saudi Arabia for the map distortion on G20 currency note by removing J&K

India has been protesting against Saudi Arabia for the distortion of Indian boundaries in the global map of the country printed on the special G20 currency note. Saudi Arabia has shown Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as a separate territory from India. Hence, India has started discussions with the Foreign Ministry in Riyadh and Saudi Arabian embassy in New Delhi.

The new currency note released by Saudi Arabia is to demonstrate the kingdom’s presidency of the group of 20 international forums.

 

Pakistan claims Pulwama attack

Fawad Chaudhury, a Minister said in the national assembly, “humne Hindustan ko ghus ke maara” (we hit India in their home). It shows that Pakistan is responsible for the terrorist attack-Pulwama attack last year which resulted in the killing of 40 Indian Central Reserve Police Force personnel.

The statement was released amid the debate over the disclosure about a meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Former Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Annual Staff Flight Safety Trophy award to Army aviation unit in J&K

For 2019-20, Chief of Army Staff Flight Safety Trophy was adjudged to 663 Army Aviation units deployed in Jammu and Kashmir.

Gen MM Naravane, Chief of Army Staff, handed over the trophy to Subedar Major of the unit and Commanding Officer on the last day of the Army Commanders’ Conference.

The award is to promote flight safety among Indian Army Aviation Corps units during both peace and operations. They have been actively involved in the operations along the LOC and Kashmir valley.

 

New software for infrastructure management

Indian Army has launched a software the “Infrastructure Management System”, which was inaugurated by the chief of Army staff during the army commanders conference on 28th of October. The reason for the development is to empower the stakeholders and help them in enhancing accountability. Otherwise, it is very difficult and time-consuming process as planning, monitoring, and everything is done manually.

The new software can automate works initiation, list preparing, and according to administrative approval. Also, it can make works, land, and quartering policies available online, and monitor Old Grant Bungalows, land encroachment, VIP references, and much more.

 

Army launching Secure Application for Internet

Indian Army has launched its own mobile messaging application named “Secure Application for Internet (SAI)”. Filing Intellectual Property Rights, working on the iOS platform, and hosting the infrastructure on NIC is under the progress. Army Cyber Group and CERT-in empanelled auditor examined the application. The application uses a pan Army for security.

 The application facilitates security of text, voice, and video calling services on the Android platform over the internet with end-to-end encryption messaging protocol.
