No C-295 based Netra AEW&C variant
For the first time in Aero India 2019, India’s Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO) introduced and proposed an indigenous active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar beam antenna package named Netra AEW&C that was tailored to an Airbus Defense & Space C295 tactical transport planes that were subsequently formally introduced to the Govt. and Indian Air Force (IAF).
Objectives of the Netra aeroplanes:
The aim would be to use the identical radar built for the 3 IAF Embraer ERJ 145 AEW&C Netra aeroplanes to be combined with the C295 aircraft. However, idrw.org has been told that the IAF has never shown much interest in the project and has opted to adhere to the ERJ 145 second-order system currently being built by the HQ.
Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria has recently reported that IAF is trying to recruit 5 more EMB-145 Netra AEW&C aircraft which is also keen to purchase these systems from the Used Civilian market because the ERJ 145 platform was centred on a commonly produced jet. Idrw.org was already told by industrial processes that IAF was already willing to consider ERJ145XR, which now offers an expanded spectrum of 2,000n, which is 450n more than the existing ERJ 145 networks.
Russian firm eyes to buy Reliance Naval
Most shipbuilding companies are withdrawing from the purchase of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Naval and Engineering Ltd (RNaval), that is being sold to cover its debts. But Russia’s state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) remains involved.
Is RNaval underneath the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) to reclaim debts which have almost gone up? 10,000 crores, man. In addition to USC, 2 big Indian firms – Chowgule and APM Terminals Management BV – were in dispute with a no. of asset restoration companies. The primary asset of RNaval is the Pipavav Shipyard in Gujarat.
The state-owned USC is believed to be involved in purchasing RNaval to bid for Project 75I – an Indian Navy project to develop six submarines in India that will be powered by air-independent propulsion (AIP). Possession of Pipavav Shipyard will allow USC to develop six submarines on its own while stating that it had complied with the “Made in India” requirements. USC is also constructing four Krivak-class frigates, two of which are required to be constructed in India. They are currently being constructed in Goa Shipyard, however, that might change if USC buys RNaval and intends to build 2 warships in Pipavav Shipyard.

PM Modi with his Pakistan and Chinese Counterparts for a Virtual Meeting
PM Narendra Modi would be entered by Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on Tuesday. The 3 leaders will face each other at a time when diplomatic relations between India, Pakistan, as well as China, have hit the lowest point on problems including such Kashmir, Pakistan-based terrorism, Balakot, and the LAC standoff.
More about the Virtual Meeting:
“The Hon’ble PM will result from the Indian delegation at the 20th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO, which has to be expected to hold in a virtual format on 10 November. The session would be convened by Russian President Vladimir Putin, “said MEA Speaker Anurag Srivastava earlier. The eight-member bloc represents more than 40percentage of the world’s populace and 20percentage of the global GDP. India has become an active participant of the regional organization that has recently emerged as a counterbalance to NATO.
Since the beginning of this year, India and China have been stuck in a bitter standoff. The face-off started with China developing troops along the LAC in East Ladakh. India has replied with an equivalent build-up. Both countries have hosted many military-to-military negotiations and also diplomatic exchanges. However, the meetings have not yielded any results as the troops appear to be stationed along the LAC even days before the start of the harsh winter. The topic was debated by the defence ministers as well as foreign ministers of the 2 countries on the Moscow SCO Forum. Both sides have decided to disengage from the LAC, but the Chinese side declined to minimize the deployment of troops from the region, resulting in a continuity of the stalemate.
A Development of India and Nepal ties
Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will fly to Kathmandu later this month to participate in a formal dialogue between the two countries, an indication that New Delhi is ready to take the extra mile to strengthen the bilateral relations that started earlier this year, people familiar with the matter said.
Why the change?
The plan to release a foreign seccretary came just days after the award of the honorary position of General of the Nepalese Army to Chief General of the Indian Army, who is MM Naravane. Naravane met with Nepal’s Prime Minister, who is KP Sharma Oli, who stressed that the two countries should address all the problems amongst them via negotiation since they have a long-standing special partnership.
Oli faced opposition to Naravane’s visit inside his government, but also withheld the security portfolio from Deputy PM Ishwar Pokhrel, according to people who were aware of changes.
