IAF planning for the procurement of more ERJ-145 based Netra AEW&CS

In the webinar, Air chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria informed that IAF is planning to procure more ERJ-145 based Netra Airborne Early Warning and Control System. The Indian government is discussing for the commercial wing of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.

IAF gave feedback to the DRDO on which DRDO is working for the upgradation of Netra AEW&CS to improve detection range and anti-jamming mechanism.

 

Preparation for the deal of 83 indigenous Tejas mk1 fighter jets

Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria confirmed the deal for 83 indigenous Tejas MK1A fighter jets. The contract inkling will be executed by December 2020 between Indian airforce and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The deliveries are expected to begin from 2023 and complete by 2028 with the annual production capacity of 20 aircrafts per year.


 


 

Role of Gorkha in reconnecting the ties of India and Nepal

After the years of blocked relations of India-Nepal due to Nepal’s new constitution unwelcomed by India, the Gorkha, India’s trusted and reliable constituency is connecting them hard.

At the time of independence, British Gorkhas turned into Indian ones and the Gorkha regiment joined the Indian Army. The Indian military has been the first one to help Nepal during natural disasters.

India may lose a valuable strategic asset in Nepal if the legendary Gorkha legacy with Indian domiciled Nepalese continue.

 

DRDO flight tested RUDRAM

DRDO has successfully flight-tested new generation anti-radiation missile on the radiation target that is located on a Wheeler island off the Odisha coast. The missile was launched on the launching platform SU30MK1 fighter aircraft. It is integrated with INS GPS navigation with passive hoaming head.

 

Territorial Army troops celebrating 72nd raising day

Territorial Army celebrated 72nd raising Day on 9 October 2020.  13 inventory TA battalions having permanent locations in the Southern command zone from Kerala to Gujarat and Andaman assisted through the aid to civil authorities and flood relief. 2 TA units focus on afforestation in Maharashtra and the Rajasthan deserts along the Indira Gandhi canal.
