High Indigenous content in Indian Navy’s project-75(1) Submarines

The Indian Navy is moving ahead with the indigenous content in its combat units. Surface vessels are constructed with 81% indigenous content and Kalvari-class submarine of the Indian Navy at the Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Limited uses between 30 and 40% in-house designed content. Based on it, project 75(1) has six conventional submarines that are to be built in India. Its indigenous content may  include pressure hull steel, Air-Independent Propulsion, and heavyweight torpedoes. It includes a submarine-launched cruise missile also.

A grade called DMR292A is under construction and is likely to be used in the construction of hulls of submarines.

The Indian Navy wants that its Project-75 (1) boats should be capable of carrying 12 anti-ship and the land-attack cruise missile.


Pakistani drone hovering in Indian territory forced to retreat border security forces

On 31st October, a Pakistani drone entered Indian territory near Gurdaspur but was forced to retreat by the Border Security Force (BSF). Ravindra Kumar and Ashok Kumar, the security personnel, attacked the flying object when it entered two times. The instances of this type have also occurred in the past at the international border.


Factors that made Myanmar choose Indian submarine

Myanmar military was seeking its strong presence in the Bay of Bengal amid pressure from China and North Korea. Hence, it purchased a submarine from India. Possibilities of Mayanmar’s purchasing was under discussion since 2005. There has always been the factor of Chinese expenses of repair and maintenance that cause discomfort to the Myanmar military.


The Soviet manufactured Kilo-class submarine has been refurbished by Hindustan Shipyard. The submarine joined its first exercise by Myanmar in mid-October and has been named as “Min Ye Thein Kha Thu”. Myanmar has become the 5th in Southeast Asia having the submarine.

Narendra Modi: Pakistan Parliament admitted Pulwama terror attack

On 31st October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a speech on a two-day visit to Gujarat to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas while celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

He said the politics have been intervening in each matter as in Pulwama attack in India too, it got revealed those who were doing politics.

He explained how Kashmir is moving towards the development phase. The seaplane service from Sardar Sarovar to Sabarmati riverfront is going to start on 31st October.


The onset of Ladakh temperature dropping to sub-zero turned Indian Army troopers towards countering Chinese Navy

 Ladakh temperature is dropping to sub-zero, and there is the onset of the first snow. Indian Army troopers have settled down against the People’s Liberation Army focusing on maritime security. Indian Military planners decided to focus on Island territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and Eastern Naval command. They are planning to raise another amphibious brigade.

The QUAD countries are going to project Maritime surveillance and dominance.
