NCDC decided the first instalment for MSP operations support to States
The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has sanctioned Rs 19444 crores to some states for Kharif season 2020-21 under Minimum Support Price operations. The states include Chhattisgarh, getting the highest amount of Rs 9000 crore, Telangana Rs 5500 crores, and Haryana Rs 5444 crores. The steps are to help farmers financially who account for around 75% of the production of paddy.
Virtual Meeting on World Tourism Day: 100% clean fuels for prime tourist cities
In Virtual meeting on the occasion of the World Tourism Day with the theme- “Tourism and rural development”, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan demanded 100% clean fuels in prime cities for the cleaner environment for the visitors. Also, he looks for the presence of technology in the contributions for the race of India in making it a global tourist hotspot. The members also discussed the matter full of praises for the Ministry of Tourism for its initiative of the ‘DekhoApnaDesh’.
World Tourism day: SAATHI and PATHIK initiative for promotion in the tourism sector
2020 has been designated as the year of tourism and rural development by United Nations World Tourism Organisation on World Tourism day through the virtual meeting.
Chief guest Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched the initiative- SAATHI of the Ministry of Tourism and Quality Council of India. SAATHI initiative is for better safety of the hotel and thus instilling confidence among the guests, staff, and employees.
Also, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launched Pathik, a film on online learning module- Incredible India tourist facilitator service station program ( ITFSSP) and an ICPB MICE promotion film. The film gives a message of safety protocols and ensures about the happy experience, hospitality, and welcoming events to India.
Speech of Dharmendra Pradhan was comprised of discussion on fuels, battery-operated vehicles, and the appraisal of ministry for its efforts for the webinar series Dekho Apna Desh.
SAI steps up on the training plan for Tokyo bound para-athletes and athletes at NCOEs from October 5

Three contentious form bills- The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce ( promotion and facilitation) Bill 2020, The Farmers ( Empowerment and Protection Agreement ) of Price Assurance and services bill 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020, triggered farmer protests in Punjab and Haryana. Also, NDA’s oldest Ally Shiromani Akali dal show his disapproval on the issue, but still, president Ram Nath kovind gave ascent on Sunday to all three farm bills.
