India and Sri Lanka will soon be in the Virtual Bilateral Summit
Prime Minister H.E. Mr Mahindra Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi are together going to conduct a virtual bilateral summit on 26 September 2020. The meeting is to review the past time friendly relationships between the two countries and of the time after the parliamentary elections in Sri Lanka.
Launching of Centralised Farm Machinery Performance Testing Portal by Narendra Singh Tomar
Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, launched the “Centralised Farm Machinery Performance Testing Portal” on 24 September 2020 in the public domain. The portal is for the improvement in the process of the evaluation of machines by bringing out more transparency, and its flexibility makes it accessible from any location and any device. It has also been beneficial in the transitioning of agriculture from the conventional approach to a commercial one. The farm machinery training and testing institutes at Hisar(Haryana), Budni(MP), Biswanath Chariali (Assam), and Anantapur( Andhar Pardesh) contributed to the development.
Raise 2020- Mega virtual summit on AI
Raise 2020- ‘Responsible AI for Social Empowerment 2020’ is a mega virtual summit going to be held from October 5-9, 2020 by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and NITI Aayog. The meeting will be the platform of exchanging ideas and outlining a course regarding the usage of Artificial Intelligence for the transformation in some sectors. Delegates and experts from across the globe will join the meeting.
Artificial Intelligence industry analysts forecast about the share of $957 billion of Indian economy by 2035. Shri Narendra Modi has planning to leverage AI under
Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas for the development of the country. All in all, India has the power to become a global leader in the development of AI.
Standards for safety evaluation of the vehicles through an amendment to Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989
As Hydrogen Fuel Cells based vehicles are energy-efficient and environment friendly, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways informs about the standards for safety evaluation of hydrogen fuel cells based vehicles. It is to be done through an amendment to Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989 made consulting GSR (E) dated 23rd September 2020.
The standards are at the price of international standards.
Launching of the Age Appropriate Fitness protocols by PM on the first anniversary of Fit India movement
On the anniversary of Fit India movement launched by Shri Narendra Modi on August 29, 2019, the government has established three Age Appropriate fitness protocols- 5-18, 18-65, and above 65, through the virtual conferencing. He has come up with final ideas after interacting with Virat Kohli, Mukul Kanitkar, Milind Soman, Nutrition expert Rajuta Diwekar, Devendra Jhajhariya, Afshan Ashiq- a footballer, Swami Shiva, and Dhayanam Saraswati. Also, W.H.O. has designed the Global Strategy on physical activity, diet, and health. More than 1 crore people for the fit India dialogue, 3.5 crores in various events, 2 crore people in the Fit India Freedom Run, and 30 crore people with the digital footprint have been registered.
Celebration of the Foundation Day of DDU-GKY on Antyodaya Diwas
25 September 2014 is the day when Antyodaya Diwas was declared in the honour of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay’s 98th birthday anniversary and also the Ministry of Rural Development, MoRD with 15 years of experience, improved Ajivika Skills as Dindayal Upadhyay Grameen Kausalya Yojana DDU-GKY to make it accessible on greater coverage and with quality on the same day.
MoRD is going to indeed celebrate the auspicious day along with beneficiary stakeholders, agencies, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Sadhvi, Niranjan Jyoti, State Mission directors of SRLM and Skill Missions, state governments, employees, and the rural youths.
India and Pakistan in CICA of SAARC
India and Pakistan interacted in the Foreign Minister’s meetings of the 27-nation Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) and 8-nation South Asian association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) about the issue of terrorism and Jammu and Kashmir. The events were held via video-conference on 24th September 2020.
All SAARC members were invited to resolve the issue collaboratively for the prosperity across South Asia. Under reference to Jammu and Kashmir, there is a move to withdraw Article 370.
