Government proposal for the setup of neutrino observatory
Union Minister of State, Dr. Jitendra Singh informed in Lok Sabha about the government proposal to set up neutrino observatory in India. Before it, observation of neutrinos around the globe will be done to know about the properties. Similarly, different sectors performed observatories- Karnataka-6 astronomical observatories, Uttrakhand-4 across India each one in some states – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, meghalaya, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Island.
National Rabi Campaign 2020 for Aatamnirbhar Kheti and the record of food grain production of 296.165 million tonnes
Even under the condition of COVID-19, 2019-20 set record of food grain production of 296.65 million tonnes in which pulses production is at 23.15 and oilseed at 33.42 million tonnes. India has been developed to rise to the first position with the estimated production of cotton – 354.91 lakh bales. Kharif sowing is 46 lakh hectares more than normal area.
National conference for Rabi campaign 2020 was held under the chairmanship of Shri Narendra Singh Tomar. It was with the task of reviewing the Kharif progress and planning for the Rabi season. Rupees 5000 crores of a micro-irrigation fund has been with a national bank for agriculture and rural development NABARD. Different targets for different grains have been set.
MoU signed between ITI kalamassery and FACT
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between government industrial training institute (ITI) Kalamassery and the Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore ( FACT) limited. It is aimed at enhancing interaction of industry institute. After the agreement implementation has been done by Sri Kesavan Nampoothiri, Executive Director, FACT and Shri Raghunath, the principal of ITI kalamassery through program sharing training facilities, ITI students interaction, employees, conducting factory visits, exchanging knowledge, organising joint projects, providing on-the-job training, and participating in research, seminars, workshops, and courses etc.
The entry of women officers in helicopter stream of Indian Navy
Two women officers, sub-lieutenant Kumudini Tyagi and SLtRiti Singh have been commissioned to join as “observers” in the helicopter stream of the Indian naval aviation. It would be first in history when two women combatants would be operating from warships. They were awarded wings at the ceremony at INS Garuda Kochi presided by rear admiral Antony George NM, chief staff officer of training vcm.
SLt Kreeshma R from 22nd SSC observer course has been awarded the book prize with “best in overall order of merit”.
Implementation of NBM in 23 States
Under the mission of national bamboo, 172 processing units, 97 primary processing units, and 746 micro/medium processing unit have been approved. 16 clusters have been formed in NE States by cane and bamboo technology centre CBTC. Since last 4 years, ministry of NAC and Donna have sanctioned 17 projects worth rupees 134 roads for bamboo development.
Restructured national bamboo mission science provision for marketing intervention, including e training. Approval for 21 bamboo mandis and online shopping portal has been under the national bamboo mission.

Fish Sperm Cryobanking Technology is reported to have the potential for improving fish seed quality. It is under the experimental stage after which finalisation of fish cryobanks establishment for fish seed production will come.
Director cargo ferry service between Indian and Miledives
Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of state for shipping and Ms Aishath Nahula, Minister of transport and civil aviation of Maldives have jointly launched the direct cargo ferry service between India and Maldives on 21 September 2020. The ferry service is scheduled to run twice a month under the operation of the shipping corporation of India. It is a significant step between the comprehensive bilateral relation of India and Maldives. The launching is the fulfilment of Narendra Modi’s commitment and dr. S.Jaishankar’s announcement.
Announcement for 2.6% shop increase for wheat MSP
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar announced the approval of MSP hike for 6 crops in which a 2.6%( rupees 52 rupees 1975 per quintal for the upcoming winter crop season) increase is in the rate for wheat. It is done in the time of farmers protest. 5 other crops are gram, barley, masoor dal, rapeseed and mustard, and safflower.
According to the fact of 2019-20, the government procured 36% more wheat in comparison to 85% jump in value in 2013-14.
75th UN anniversary: 193 United Nations members adopted a commemorative declaration
On the morning of 75th UN anniversary, 193 members of the United Nations came up with the adoption of the commemorative declaration. They counted 75 years since world war II in San Francisco brought the organisation, and UN charter was signed on June 26 1945. According to Ms Chalet, the United Nations has lacked meaningful reforms being vulnerable, and the threats came without solutions. Many other ministers and members participated in the anniversary through recorded video messages, conferences, and speech with problematic phrases.
“banks not risk-averse”, said by SBI chief
Amid the demands for loans, SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar said that they are careful about future to avoid the same scenario of “delusion” in credit underwriting standards of the post-2008. Economy investment has already come down and bank credit rupees 901.48 lakh crore in July. Non-Food bank credit has grown 6.7% in July against the growth of 11.4% of 2019; the Reserve Bank of India has provided the data.
