Advance preventive actions for the Air Pollution Management in NCR region in Delhi


To improve the air pollution management of national capital region of Delhi, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister- Dr PK Mishra chaired the meeting in the presence of different secretaries. It was held to come up with advanced actions before harvesting and winter season causes air pollution.

 Diversification of crop, strengthening of supply chains and deploying the team to control stubble burning in Punjab, Haryana, and UP were discussed after noticing previous positive results of stopping stubble burning.



Three labour codes shared by Shri Gangwar for labour welfare


Three labour codes 1) industrial relations code 2020 2) Social security code 2020 3) Code on occupational safety health and working conditions bill 2020, are shared by Shri Gangwar, the minister of state for labour and employment in Lok sabha. Code on wages had already approved in August 2019 with the mission of simplifying legal laws and implementation on 50 crore workers in the country.

 It will help in providing safe environment protection, industrial relations, investment, and balance for timely wages. The number of wage rate would be approximate 200 with the revision of minimum wages every 5 years. Besides, “Floor wage” a statutory concept has also been introduced.



Update of scholarship schemes


Total beneficiaries are 67,21,630 and rupees 2204.44 crores has been spent by minority affairs ministry on scholarship schemes. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi asserts the non-effect of lockdown on the scheme due to its working on the online portal – National Scholarship Portal (NSP). And the beneficiary receives the scholarship amount in the bank account transferred under the Direct Benefit Transfer Mode.


Financial assistance to the sportspersons under the scheme of PDUNWFS


Ministry of youth affairs and sports has been implementing the scheme- Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National welfare fund for sportspersons by providing financial assistance to the current as well as former National level sportspersons. The assistance includes treatment welfare, procurement of types of equipment, and so on.

 Also, the scheme is of providing pension to advance level sportspersons after retirement as lifetime pension of rupees 12000 rupees to 20000 per month. It is to be done after winning medals in Asian games, World Cup in Olympics, and Asian games disciplines, Olympic games, Commonwealth games, and Para-Olympic games.



Update of planted saplings under Sankalp Parva


The information was provided by Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, the minister of the state of culture and tourism in the written reply in Lok sabha.

Ministry of culture started the project of the Sankalp Parv from 28 June to 12th July 2020. It intended to create a healthy environment in the country but without separate fund. During the drive, 5 trees- Burgard, Awla, Ashok, Peepal, Bel, called as thr herbal heritages were recommended to plant. Total 11,442 saplings were planted during the drive.


Amal Clooney resigns her role over the legislative plan of violating the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement


The British government is in the planning process of passing legislation that would override sections of the British withdrawal agreement. It can break international law in the event. Although the agreement ensured the open border on the island of Ireland for the peace process in Northern part, Amal Clooney, Human rights lawyer, said she has no option but quit her role as UK’s special envoy due to government’s “lamentable suggestion” of land legislation that could break international law, which Boris Johnson himself negotiated. It is the trade agreement between the UK and EU that is not secure and British lawmakers are debating on the internal market bill.
