Tributes paid to the martyred forest personnel

Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change paid tribute to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives when defending the precious wildlife, plants and environmental assets from wildfires, smugglers and street gangs as a part of the 15th National Forest Martyrs Days. Shri Javedkar also displayed deep dismay over the forest workers killing by the smugglers of the Sandalwood. He also categorically mentioned that amendments in the regulations would allow Sandalwood to be grown more extensively.  25 forest staffs have been given certificate of recognition for laying their lives while discharging their duties in the year 2019-20.

 

Shram Bureau Bhawan inaugurated in Chandigarh

2020 marks the Centenary year of the Labour Bureau. In respect of this, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Labour and Employment has inaugurated Shram Bureau Bhawan, a newly constructed building of the Labour Bureau in Chandigarh.

Though commending the initiatives, the Union Minister referred to the fact that information on all facets of labour is essential in terms of insight into policy decisions, and this supports the presence of an agency such as the Labour Bureau devoted to labour data. Given the always -increasing value of data throughout the times ahead, combined with the fact that India is a labour-intensive country, a committed labour statistics institution such as the Bureau requires improvement.

 

Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production released

12th of every month witnesses the release of Quick Estimates of IIP. This consists of information received from source agencies, who received the same information from the producing factories/ establishments. The estimates clearly showed that due to the preventive measures of lockdown from March 2020 onwards to break the chain of COVID-19 pandemic, the industries have been hugely affected. The Quick estimates of IIP for the month of July 2020 stands at 118.1. 12th October, 2020, Monday will witness the release of the Index for August 2020.


 


 

Three biggest Petroleum projects to be launched on 13th September

On 13th September 2020, in Bihar, the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi is going to dedicate three very important projects which is related to the Petroleum Sector. The projects will include the Durgapur-Banka section of the Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur Pipeline Augmentation Project and two LPG Bottling Plants. They have been commissioned by IndianOil and HPCL, PSUs under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Given the always-increasing value of data throughout the times ahead, combined with the fact that India is a labour-intensive country, a committed labour statistics institution such as the Bureau requires improvement.

 

The 2 days conclave on “School Education in 21st Century” inaugurated

The 2 days conclave on “School Education in 21st Century ” under NEP 2020 has been inaugurated today and was addressed by the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi through video conference today. The Hon’ble PM also discussed the importance of NEP in etching a new path to 21st century India. The new NEP has been laid down with the vision to fulfill new aspirations and opportunities for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The Hon’ble PM also acknowledged the efforts of the people from every region, every sector and every language in the last 3 to 4 years resulting in the formation of the NEP 2020. He has urged the teaching professionals to work in a close co-operation in order to have a successful implementation of the NEP 2020. The Hon’ble PM also shared his happiness over the 1.5 million suggestions that he have been receiving within a week.

In the NEP 2020, The Prime Minister stressed the importance of replacing the old 10 +2 with the system of 5 + 3 + 3 + 4. He also emphasized on the importance of playful education of the pre-school which is limited to private schools in cities these days. He ensured that it will also reach villages once this policy is implemented.


 


 

Ranking of States on Support to Startup Ecosystems Released

Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Railways has released the results of the second edition of Ranking of States on Support to Startup Ecosystems. The results were announced through a virtual felicitation ceremony. The objective behind the conduction of the second edition of the States’ Startup Ranking Exercise by the DPIIT was to foster competitiveness and propel States and UTs to work proactively towards uplifting the startup ecosystem.

The States’ Startup Ranking Framework 2019 has 7 broad reform area, consisting of 30 action points ranging from Institutional Support, Easing Compliances, Relaxation in Public Procurement norms, Incubation support, Seed Funding Support, Venture Funding Support, and Awareness & Outreach. In order to maintain consistency and maintain standardisation in the optimization phase, States and UTs are being classified into two parts. The ceremony witnessed the participation of 22 stated and 3 Union Territories. The felicitation ceremony has been followed by the publication of the National Report, that outlines the sight, the path, the approach and the potential development plan of the States Ranking Exercise. A State Specific Report for every one of the 25 participants involved has also been published, which provides a detailed overview of the respective habitats, outlining strong points and focus areas.

Goa witnessed the 45th Regional Dak Adalat

 

On 28th September 2020 at 11:00 hrs, the Postmaster, Goa Region, Panaji 403001 will be holding the 45th Regional Level Dak Adalat in the office of the Postmaster General, Goa, Panaji. The Dak Adalat is going to entertain grievances related to the Postal Services pertaining to the Goa region.

Postal facilities are an important role in the nation’s socio-economic life, impacting the lives of nearly every person. Although the postal service aims to perform the solution to the ultimate convenience of its clients, coordination inconsistencies and service delays arise periodically, resulting in inquiries and issues. In aims to discuss such concerns/problems in an appropriate way, the Department shall regularly hold Adalats, at which officials of the Department visit the mourning customers, collect specifics of their criticisms and try to resolve them as soon as possible.

 

Aero India 21 Launched

Shri Rajnath Singh, Raksha Mantri has launched the Aero India 2021 website at New Delhi which calls for space-booking. The Aero India-21 is the 13th edition of its kind. It is going to be held at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka from 03rd to 07th February, 2021.
