DDA approves proposal of JJ colonies development with the floor area ratio of 300

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved a proposal for the permission of floor area ratio of 300. The ratio is on the remunerative component. 60% accounts for the minimum residential component of the land area for the rehabilitation of squatters and 40% comes into the maximum area of remunerative use.

DDA chairman, lieutenant governor Anil Baijal approved the change of land use from commercial to the utility for the waste processing plant at the integrated freight Complex, Gazipur.

Other modifications in the MPD-2021 are be the incorporation of operation structures regarding regional rapid transit system corridors.


Hosting of 44th Annual General Meeting by NHPC

On 29th September, NHPC Limited hosted 44th annual General Meeting from its corporate office, Faridabad. The company management recommended the dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share. Shri AK Singh informed about the total revenue that is 9771.59 crore of the company with the net profit after tax is rupees 3007.17 crore.

He also mentioned about the Memorandum of Understanding( MoU) signed with Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Limited. It has been done for the formation of a joint venture company for the development of floating solar power projects of 500 MW in Odisha. NHPC issued letter of award for interstate transmission system grid.

Besides, it has signed MOU detailing targets in which generation target under excellent rating is there and has been set as 27500 MUs. IMO also include CAPEX target, Restoration of unit 1 and unit 2 of Chamera-2 assets and power station monetisation parameters.

But there are some difficulties in the conduct of elections especially in the four states Assam, Tamilnadu, West Bengal, and Kerala reported to the commission due to which the commission decided not to conduct elections of these States but about others will be decided soon.


Two-day consultation of natural farming by NITI Aayog

Niti Aayog has organised a national level consultation on 29-30 sep. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare  mentioned about the budget allocated by the Union Agriculture Ministry. Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala have approved the proposals. Acharya Devvrat, the governor of Gujarat predicts 12 lakh hectares to be brought under natural farming till next 5 years according to the date of around 1.20 lakh farmers involved in natural farming during the current season and 5.50 lakh interested in Gujarat. The consultation was comprised of technical sessions and it pondered upon the extension of training program that Indian Council of Agricultural Research will undertake.


Defence India startup challenge-4- launched

During the iDEX event on 29 September 2020, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has launched the Defence India Startup Challenge-4 at Innovations for Defence Excellence Ecosystem (iDEX) in New Delhi. He also launched idex4Fauji  initiative and Product Management Approach(PMA) guidelines.

iDEX was launched by Narendra Modi in April 2018 and was executed by Defence innovation organisation section 8 company of DPSUs BEL and HAL. Since the beginning, iDEX-DIO has launched 3 rounds of DISC, entry into a strategic partnership and hiring manpower launched the website and Portal, 2 cycles supporting suo-moto innovations.

Young researchers received CDRI awards by CSIR-CDRI for the contribution in Drug Discovery and Development

On 29 September 2020 in the virtual event, the CSIR Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow awarded young researchers. Dr Surajit Ghosh for biological sciences with the development of efficient cell-penetrating peptides, Dr Ravi Manjithaya for chemical sciences, and Dr Bushra ateeq by discovering the underlying molecular mechanism involved in SPINK1 were awarded with the CDRI award for their excellent performance in drug discovery and development (On cancer). Dr Bushra Ateeq also received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award in medical sciences. Since 2004, a total of 34 scientists have received this award.

Launching of Ambedkar social Innovation and Incubation Mission under venture capital fund for SCs by Shri Thavarchand Gahlot

Shri Thavarchand, Gahlot Union Minister for Social justice and Empowerment launches  the Ambedkar social Innovation and Incubation Mission under venture capital fund for SCs. Under it, there is projection of a 1000 SC youth in the next four years through the Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) with the startup ideas and they will be funded with the rupees 30 lacs Equity Funding. This initiative would help Prime Minister in “Stand up India” project too. VCF-SC call to the financial assistance of rupees Rs. 444.14 crore to 118 companies since its starting.

SOI on Decarbonisation and Energy Translation Agenda signed by Niti Aayog and Embassy of the Netherlands

On 28 September 2020, CEO Amitabh Kant, NITI Aayog and Marten Van Den, Ambassador of the Netherlands New Delhi has signed a statement of Intent ( SoI). The key elements of a partnership are lowering the Net Carbon Footprint in Industrial Land Transport Sectors, promoting bioenergy technologies, and much more. Netherland is India’s sixth-largest EU trading partner too.
