AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is a national level competitive exam. Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts this exam to select officers for all its branches, except for the medical and dental branches. The AFCAT exam appears twice in a year in the month of February and August. Both the exams are very crucial for the exams. So, those who are interested to join the Indian Air Force as an officer can apply through AFCAT 2019 to join flying, technical and non-technical branches of Indian Air force. Indian Air Force has started the online registration for AFCAT 2019 from 1st June 2019 and the last date to apply for the AFCAT 2019 is 30th June 2019. Online examination will be conducted on 24th Aug 19 and 25th Aug 19 for AFCAT exam. When candidates are applying for the examination it should be confirmed that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions to enter in the examination hall. If any candidates do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, then that candidate will be cancelled by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The examination is conducted twice in a year.

AFCAT Branch & Vacancies (2019): –
The AFCAT has entry in mainly 3 phases. The first is AFCAT Entry in which there are several branches like

Note:– Candidates must be an Indian.

(i)Age Limit:

Flying Branch:-Candidates age must be between 20 to 24 years.

Ground Duty (Technical):- Candidates age must be between 20 to 26 years.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical):- Candidates age must be between 20 to 26 years.

(ii)Educational Qualification:

Flying Branch

(1) Candidates must be graduate in any regimentation with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/BTech degree with minimum 60% marks. OR
(2) Candidate should have scored 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers.

Ground Duty (Technical)

(1) Candidates should have a graduation level degree in any regimentation with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level with minimum 60% marks. OR
(2) A candidate should have finished 4 years graduation or integration Post graduation in Engineering/Technology OR
(3) A candidate must secure 60% marks in Section 1 and 2 examinations of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

Candidates should have graduation level degree of any regimentation with minimum 60% marks and obtain 60% marks in Section 1 and 2 examinations of Aeronautical Society or Associate of Institute Engineers of India.

Note: The candidates must be mentally and physically strong or fit because physically challenged applicants are not eligible for AFCAT 2019 exam.

Marital Status:-
Aspirants should be unmarried under the age 25 at the time of commencement of course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are not eligible. If candidates marry yielding to the date of their application, though successful at SSB or medical then they won’t be eligible for training. Also, If a candidate who marries during training period then, he will be discharged and will be liable to refund all consumption raised on him by the Government. Married candidates above who are 25 years old are eligible to apply, but during training period they cannot do marry, or can’t they live with family.
